Luke 29:40
Psalms 118:22, Acts 4:11, Mathew 22:42
In Luke 19:28-40 is the time Jesus made His triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Many people threw their clothes down so that the king of kings would receive the royal treatment as He entered the city. The crowd and the disciples started singing joyfully praising Jesus. The hypocrites (Pharisees) were not amused and asked Jesus to silence them, His reply shocked them. Vs 40 He told them that if the crowd kept silent the stones would sing. The stones are hard and have no voices.
When I was meditating on these words the Lord took me to Psalms 118:22 the stones the builders rejected became the cornerstone. To those reading this text, the stones here represent those that are not highly regarded, the despised, those that others think to know nothing, those that are thought to amount to nothing. These are the stones that will not be quiet, they will not be silent they will serve God in whichever capacity.
They may have thought that you belong to the lowest level but you are a living stone and you are about to become the cornerstone. They may have written you off but your life is about to experience a new dawn. Your morning with beautiful tidings is about to break forth.
They said your background is not good enough, you have little education, your name has no status but Jehovah is about to cause you to sing and sing a new song.
You will become the stone that was rejected, why because those that were graced to serve the king of kings would not take up the assignment, they are not able to serve, they have become comfortable with what God has given them.
Arise your stone and make a joyous noise of praise, your preaching the summon may just be for one person. May we serve Him in all seasons.
