Read MoreDOI has changed several things in my life:
DOI has been a life changing experience for me... it's a journey I have walked monthly with no regrets always looking forward to the next.
There is this one preacher who spoke about his life experience and I was encouraged to know that what I was going through then was not unique and I needed to encourage myself in the Lord. From the same preacher, I started taking care of my mother at a new level, supporting her financially, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
The topic of friendships was also key for me. From that, I am more aware of my friends and respecting my friendships. November editions for the school goers was life-changing it was really wonderful to work with the young ones you were not sure if they would show up but they did hallelujah! They enjoyed serving and felt recognized and appreciated we formed friendships and great bonds.
I have found this to be a place of growth, correction, and great fellowship! Thank you for a place to hang out every 4th Saturday of every month! :) Long live DOI!
DOI to me is the glue that joined me with my mother and my daughters. It has opened a ministry door for my daughters and I am forever grateful.
Being in the planning team gives my daughters a sense of belonging. They have known God personally and how to work out their own growth.
My biological mother's heart is in the DOI whenever she is able to attend because of distance.
2 years ago, I made an earnest prayer to our heavenly father that He would give me friends in the kingdom. The truth is I needed people who I could discuss kingdom things, encourage each other and even pray for one another. I longed for bible believing n practising friends. God answered my plea via the DOI ministry in the last 2 years.
Over time, I have met new born again friends who have tremendously impacted my life in one way or another. As I walk this road, have great company; sisters who pray, laugh, cry, visit n everything else that girls do to stay happy... Thank you, Lord! I am grateful to mum Pastor Alice for allowing God to use her via this ministry to refresh His own! I am a DOI member for life!
